Pierre Balmain founded Balmain in France in 1954. This fashion powerhouse is known for their meticulous eye, and usage of simple lines in their clothing designs. Moving forward, in 2006 Christophe Decarnin was appointed head designer of Balmain. During this period of time Balmain was reinvented. Decarnin brought a rock chic/military aesthetic.
